The minister of a Bowery mission has his donations stolen. A transient working in the mission kitchen knows who did it, and threatens revenge, but the minister persuades him not to, and give himself up to serve an old charge he's still wanted on. In Sing Sing, both men meet, and when the first is stabbed, it looks like a revenge murder.
