来自江蓉市的女刑警尤明许深入川西追查连环杀人案，偶遇受伤失忆的犯罪心理学教授殷逢，两人组成一对探案搭档。失忆的殷逢心智回到了少年时代，天真热烈，走进了尤明许因幼年失母而封闭的内心。在办案过程中，殷逢展现出了卓越的犯罪心理分析能力，而尤明许则依靠多年办案经验和敏锐的直觉，在殷逢的帮助下屡次破案，两人从陌生走向默契，也渐渐对彼此萌生爱情。殷逢也找回了记忆，他外表冷漠，内心仍对尤明许充满感情。但殷逢推理出自己的哥哥可能是当年杀害尤明许母亲的凶手。为了解开十九年前的尤明许之母的死亡迷案，两人抽丝剥茧，最终尘封多年的真相浮出水面，真凶伏法。
