Disgusted with Josette's behavior, Jeremiah tries to tell Barnabas the truth about her lack of character, but then changes his mind because he does not want to make his beloved nephew unhappy. So, Jeremiah confronts Josette about her behavior and she admits that she cannot offer a satisfactory explanation.
