Fünf Tage lang arbeiten sie am absoluten Limit - ohne Schlaf, auf einer wahrhaft unvergesslichen Odyssee.
Less than a day into the Opilio crab season, the Bering Sea has already claimed six lives. Despite these losses, the rest of the fleet begins to pull the pots they set 12 hours before, their hopes high. As the weather turns for the better, fishing is made easier, and for the first time this season, there is a moment of calm on the Bering Sea.
La pêche au crabe des neiges, appelé aussi crabe araignée, a commencé. Ce crustacé vit essentiellement dans les eaux froides et profondes, qui rend parfois la pêche difficile. Aujourd'hui tout particulièrement, puisqu'à peine plus de douze heures après l'ouverture de la pêche, six victimes sont déjà dénombrées. Quant au reste de la flotte, il commence à remonter les nasses.
