The biological difference between women and men is often ignored by many doctors, instead they treat an imaginary creature called the "patient". He is usually young, of average height and weight and above all male. This can have far-reaching, sometimes fatal consequences: women sometimes receive incorrect diagnoses and therapies, but men can also be incorrectly diagnosed and treated.
