Today, the architect, designer and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh is considered one of the leading figures of early 20th Century Modernism. But for all of his international influence and renown, Mackintosh only ever completed one architectural commission outside of Scotland during his lifetime--a residential renovation at 78 Derngate in Northhampton, England.
