Siisgård er på flugt fra blodtørstige rockere. For at redde skindet søger han tilflugt på det beskedne provinssygehus Småborg. Her keder man sig i den vante rutine, men pludselig bliver stedet skueplads for kaos, intriger og ikke mindst en forveksling, der både redder Siisgaards liv og skaffer ham en fast plads i staben på det lille hospital.
