Little Red Riding Hood goes off to take cakes and honey to her grandmother. A wolf in the forest tricks her into taking a longer path so that he can take a shortcut and get to the grandmother’s house first. He swallows the grandmother and pretends to be her when Little Red Riding Hood arrives. Then he swallows her down, too. A hunter passing by is surprised to hear heavy snoring coming from the grandmother’s cottage. When he sees the wolf’s big belly, he slices it open and rescues the grandmother and Little Red Riding Hood. Little Red Riding Hood promises never to talk to strangers again.
