Il Mondo di Elmo è una parte dello show televisivo per bambini "Sesame Street", il protagonista è un piccolo mostro peloso e rosso di tre anni e mezzo di età di nome Elmo. Ogni puntata si svolge all'interno di un ambiente creato in computer grafica con l'aspetto di un disegno fatto con i colori a cera che rappresenta un mondo immaginario inventato da Elmo. Ogni giorno, ci sono una serie di scenette e interviste Elmo poi rivela la risposta aprendo la porta della sua stanza. Altri personaggi dello show sono Mr Noodle, un mimo che dovrebbe dimostrare come fare qualcosa legato al tema della puntata ma che in realtà si dimostra un incapace, ed il pesciolino rosso di Elmo Dorothy.

El mundo de Elmo es un spin-off de Plaza Sésamo de la demostración de la televisión de los niños que ofrece a Elmo, monstruo rojo pequeño que habla en tercera persona y tiene alrededor de 2 1/2 a 3 años. En el programa también aparece el Sr. Noodle, un personaje humano que actúa como mimo, y el pez dorado doméstico de Elmo, Dorothy.
