Svět však, ten daleký velký svět, odkud sem přišel - a který by na něj měl podle všech pravidel dávno zapomenout - se zřejmě stále ještě zcela nevyrovnal se ztrátou svého nejlepšího neurochirurga. Proč by za ním jinak chtěl přijet jeden z nejslavnějších novinářů prestižního newyorského časopisu?
Ein Journalist kommt nach Everwood, um Andy zu interviewen und herauszufinden, warum der einst so berühmte Neurochirurg nun eine Landarztpraxis tief in den verschneiten Rocky Mountains führt. Dabei kommt die Sprache auch auf Colin, und trotz Andys Einwänden konzentriert sich der Journalist fortan auf dessen wundersame Genesung. Unterdessen rastet Colin in der Schule ein weiteres Mal aus und demoliert die Einrichtung eines Lehrerbüros, während Delia beschließt, die Nacht in einem Museum zu verbringen. Andy ist außer sich vor Sorge, als er ihr Verschwinden bemerkt.
Although Amy and Bright are still living in denial regarding the state of Colin's (Mike Erwin) recovery, Ephram can't ignore the bad signs any longer after he witnesses Colin freaking out and vandalizing the gym teacher's office. Meanwhile, a New York Magazine reporter pays a visit to Dr. Brown in hopes of uncovering the truth behind why the famed surgeon is still living in Everwood. And Delia decides to secretly spend the night in the Museum of History while on a school field trip.
Joël Horowitz, une des grandes célébrités journalistiques de New York, décide de débarquer à Everwood pour faire une interview d'Andy sur les raisons de son départ. Tous les habitants du village ne cesse de se faire remarquer pour être cités dans l'article.
Ephram, diversamente da tutti gli altri che non vedono ciò che è evidente, realizza che le condizioni di Colin non sono buone quando quest'ultimo, in un impeto di rabbia, finisce prima col distruggere l'ufficio dell'allenatore dalla squadra di basket e poi prende a pugni Bright, il suo migliore amico. Amy continua a dargli fiducia, ma Bright non sembra più intenzionato a farlo. Intanto Andy è sulla bocca di tutti quando un famoso giornalista del New York Magazine arriva in città per scrivere un articolo su di lui.
