Ellen Barkin is a forlorn princess yearning for laughs. Howard Hessman is her stern father (the king) who demands to be addressed as "your seriousness". Growing up without humor, the princess becomes more and more morose, finally locking herself in the royal bedchamber and refusing to leave. The king in desperation, decrees a royal laugh-off to make his daughter happy. Enter Howie Mandell as "Weinerhead Waldo" and his pet pig Boris. Together they show the princess what the funniest act in the kingdom really is.

Enriqueta es una joven princesa a quien su padre, el Rey, su tutor y su gobernanta, educan para que en el futuro sea un gran rey... es decir, reina. Pero ella está harta de la vida en palacio, se aburre, y aludiendo a esa bella frase que dice "las chicas sólo quieren divertirse", obliga a su padre a que le traiga alguien que le haga reír, o no volverá a verla. El Rey organiza un concurso de risas: aquel que haga reír a su hija, se casará con ella y heredará su reino.
