He Turned TWO Noctuas Into One Super Fan

In this episode, I push fan design to the extreme with one of the most unusual cooling experiments yet. It starts with a toroidal 8-blade fan design inspired by advanced aerodynamic research, built to test whether this geometry can actually improve airflow in real-world PC cooling applications. Next, things escalate with a custom-built contra-rotating fan system, constructed using dual Noctua A12x25 frames combined into a single overengineered cooling unit. The goal: see if two fans working together can outperform traditional airflow designs. Finally, I put everything to the test using a smoke machine and air cooler setup to visualize airflow in real time. The results are surprisingly clean—and borderline perfect—showing just how efficiently this system can move air through a dense heatsink. This is one of the most experimental builds yet in the series, combining theory, fabrication, and real-world airflow testing.
