I have a small covered patio area with an outdoor sectional sofa and was in need of a coffee table for it. I thought it would be neat if I could design one that also had a surface that could be lifted up and inward to become an eating surface for those seated at the couch. I thought it would be even cooler if it was on a diagonal so that, regardless of where you were seated at the sofa, you would have easy access to the table surface. This is what I came up with and how I made it!
