Jung-hwan rushes to the mountain lodge where Kyung-joo is staying—the place they once promised they would spend the night together someday. The next morning, however, he collapses after his condition worsens. Alarmed by the doctor’s warning that his life is in danger, Kyung-joo calls Chae-ok.
Busy preparing for a fashion show, Chae-ok agonizes over whether she should prioritize her husband or her work. In the end, she chooses her career and turns back to the show venue. The fashion show is a huge success, and Chae-ok later visits the now-recovered Jung-hwan, presenting him with the divorce papers and declaring that her work matters more than love.
