The race gets underway with the three teams vying with each other to get ahead with the Brits, led by expedition patron Prince Harry, at first taking lead. Four days into the competition at the first checkpoint, Ed Parker makkes to difficult decision to abandon the race and announces that eveyone will work together as one team.
