Hercules and Morrigan were enjoying life on the island of Eire until they found the Druids slaughtered. Recognizing the work of the demon Dahak, Hercules and Morrigan returned to Sumeria. There, they found Nebula had been bothered by waking dreams of her dead love, Iolaus. When Hercules visited Iolaus' tomb, he found it empty -- and turned to find Dahak behind him, in the body of Ioalus. As they fought, hercules could not bring himself to slay his friend, even though he knew it was no longer Iolaus. Dahak escaped, with Hercules, Morrigan and Nebula in hot pursuit.
Après avoir tué tous les druides, Dahak se rend à Sumeria. Il prend l'apparence de Iolas pour piéger Nebula.

Herkules a vikingeknél átélt kalandok után visszatér Morriganhez. A két fiatal szerelmes lesz egymásba, s egy nap, amikor piknikezni mennek és az eső elől bemenekülnek egy barlangba, a druidákat lemészárolják. Herkulesnek ismét látomása van, amelyben Nebulát veszélyben látja, ezért úgy dönt, hogy visszamegy Mezopotámiába. Közben rájön, hogy a druidák lemészárlásáért és Nebula hallucinációiért egyaránt Dahak a felelős. És az is kiderül számára, hogy Nebula valójában nem képzelődik, mert Dahak Iolesz képében jelenik meg előtte...
