Texas-Sized Bonus Space Gets A Big City Makeover, Transforming into a Chic, Indoor/Outdoor Lounge

Moving from a cramped apartment in Manhattan to a spacious home in Texas, Christian and Nancy Rodill are overwhelmed by all their new space. These NYC transplants want to transform their unused upstairs bonus room into a chic lounge for entertaining. Enter designer extraordinaire Genevieve Gorder! She plans to fuse the Rodill's love of the Big City with their current desert landscape in big ol' Texas. Using green grass cloth wallpaper, layers of textural sheetrock on the walls, and a converted glass jewelry case for a bar, Genevieve creates a distinctive, unique vintage bar for entertaining. The last piece of design is the biggest and most impressive, as a 600-pound onyx art structure goes up on the wall, giving the entertainment room a truly one-of-a-kind focal point.
