The prequel to Hollyoaks in the City, Hollyoaks Let Loose was broadcast between September and December 2005 and followed iconic Hollyoaks characters, Ben Davies (Marcus Patric) and Lisa Hunter (Gemma Atkinson) as they leave their hometown of Hollyoaks in Chester and head for a new life abroad. However, Lisa’s behaviour puts her and Ben’s relationship at risk. She wonders whether she was right to leave Hollyoaks when confronted with the responsibility of looking after Ben’s child. The series also touched on Lisa’s battle with self-harm.
