建設会社に勤めるみゆき（木村佳乃）は、結婚式当日、夫が海外転勤に決まり、優雅な一人暮らしをしていたが、夫の母が急死し、ショックで夫の父・政吉（橋爪功）が脳梗塞で入院となった。 設計の仕事をしながら、長男の嫁であるみゆきは夫の実家と政吉のうなぎ屋を世話するハメに。 だが、夫の弟（森田剛）をはじめ、家族達の態度は・・・。
