Remote Control

John und Digger bekommen die Information, dass ein Mann aus dem Seneca-Institut, einer Forschungsanstalt für PSI-Begabte, ausgebrochen ist. Jay erkennt in dem Mann seinen Blutsbruder Jay Dougan. John erscheint das Bild des Mannes in seinem Geiste - und zwar in Farbe, obwohl er eigentlich keine Farben erkennen kann -, doch die Erscheinung verschwindet zusehends, je näher er und Digger dem Institut kommen. In einem Waldstück finden die beiden die Armeemarke von Jay und machen sich auf den Weg zu der Heilanstalt, wo Jay sich aufgehalten hat. Doch dort erfahren sie, dass Jay angeblich niemals in dem Institut behandelt wurde. Daraufhin beschließen John und Digger, das Seneca-Institut mal genauer unter die Lupe zu nehmen, und sie entdecken die bestürzende Wahrheit...

A man escapes from the Seneca Institute and is run over — Digger recognizes him as his blood brother Jay Dougan and John can see Dougan's picture in color. The two of them travel to Northam where the color leaves the dead man as John watches and the body has teeth with no enamel and a tag-id on his tongue. The two of them find the man's Army medal in the woods and follow it back to the Institute where mental patients are kept, but there's no evidence Dugan was ever there. They sneak in and John witnesses patients being drugged to act as "remote viewers", seeing things psionically from a distance. John sees one blind patient, Michael, in color and playing "My Funny Valentine" and gets him out — he has scrambled senses and says he was told he was suffering from a fatal brain disease (similar to John's history — see "The Mourner".) and they took him in and help him develop his gift to see at a distance along with other orphans and homeless people. They realize they're being watched by Sam...

Avant-dernier épisode de la série qui annonce la couleur du dernier : Rouge, comme le Phénix... En effet, un homme trouve la mort en s'échappant d'un centre pour surdoués handicapés, caché au beau milieu de la forêt ! Digger voit en la victime son frère d'arme... John et lui décident alors d'en savoir plus et découvrent que des médecins effectuent des tests de Télévoyance sur des innocents...

Digger riconosce nella foto di un uomo investito il fratello di sangue Jay Dougan. John riesce a vedere la foto dell'uomo a colori. I due si recano a Northam dove scoprono che Jay era fuggito da un istituto dove i pazienti vengono drogati e usati per vedere eventi a distanza. John scopre inoltre un collegamento del Seneca Institute con la NSA, il dottor Moretti, un gruppo di terroristi ed il gruppo Fenice.
