Constitutional Court Examines South Korea’s Treatment of Conscientious Objectors

On July 9, 2015, South Korea’s Constitutional Court held a public hearing on the constitutional complaint of three conscientious objectors to military service. This video summarizes the hearing and the issues confronting the Court. The Court adjourned the hearing, and will deliberate on the constitutionality of laws that punish conscientious objectors.
