WHAT I ATE TODAY [VEGAN]

While I’ve always considered myself to be a moderately healthy vegan, lately I’ve felt inspired to take it up a notch! You could say that I’ve fallen into a black hole when it comes to researching optimum nutrition; I’m so captivated by the idea of becoming super human. With every bite, we truly have the option of giving our bodies a whole plethora of benefits. Anti-aging, increasing serotonin (happiness), preventing cancer, sharpening memory, fighting off disease… just to name a few! Our bodies were designed (via evolution) to consume whole foods in their natural form (think: fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds). When we do otherwise (er, processed junk) the body just does not know what to do with it and issues inevitably arise. However, if you’re anything like me, then staying completely away from junk food is NOT an option (candy is my vice). But it doesn’t have to be all or nothing! I personally strive to eat the best I can while at home and then treat myself whenever I’m out and about! It’s been working really well for me and I have faith that it can work well for you, too!
