When a participant in a TV reality show is murdered, McCoy goes after the producers and network executives for deliberately fomenting hostility among the participants to boost the ratings. All too appropriately, the outcome of the case hinges on a videotape made by a hidden-camera.

Briscoe e Green indagano sull'omicidio di uno dei partecipanti di un reality show, in cui sette ragazzi vengono filmati nello stesso appartamento. I detective scoprono che la morte è stata accidentale in seguito a una lite tra la vittima e un altro concorrente del programma. McCoy scopre che la vittima era stata incaricata dalla produzione del reality di causare una lite con l'amico, facendo aumentare gli ascolti e decide di incriminare il vicepresidente del network.
