Each episode, three different celebrity guests offer words of wit and wisdom as they review the acts. The guest panellists include comedians Frank Skinner, Jason Manford, Jack Dee and Miranda Hart. Top choreographers help the celebrity dancers perfect their routine before they take to the floor to give the performance of their lives. They only have one shot to make their mark, and who gets to the final is up to the viewers. The most popular act in a telephone vote goes straight through the final; the panel decides which of the two runners-up joins them. A portion of the revenue from each vote goes to Sport Relief. As well as celebrity dancing, the first show features exclusive performances from pop boyband JLS and girl group the Sugababes.
Comedy actor Miranda Hart, 2009 runner-up Paddy McGuinness and model and presenter Kelly Brook cast an eye over proceedings, and viewers can expect a wide variety of dance classics attempted by the likes of Shappi Khorsandi and a team of champion boxers including current super middleweight world champion Carl Froch. As well as the celebrity performances, there is an exclusive performance from pop sensation Gabriella Cilmi, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert is in the studio with another fabulously flamboyant number from the hit West End musical.
Queen of the stage show Denise Van Outen is joined by 2009 finalist Jo Brand and Shooting Star Vic Reeves on the panel of judges to rule over the likes of comedian Stephen K Amos, a group of Grumpy Old Women and a pair of ex-England footballers as they demonstrate their fancy footwork on the dancefloor. Plus music from US pop sensation Justin Bieber and a performance of All That Jazz by the cast of West End smash hit musical Chicago.
Over three weeks, 18 celebrity acts have put their pride and dignity aside and danced their socks off in the name of charity. Those 18 acts have been whittled down to six finalists by a viewers' vote. Six finalists now dance again to determine who is crowned Let's Dance Champion 2010. The nation was arrested by the sight of Debra Stephenson's Smooth Criminal; they fought for the love of Rufus Hound with his tribute to Cheryl Cole; GMTV's Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold hand-jived; and Katy Brand did it for single ladies everywhere with her version of Beyonce's classic track. These four acts are joined by two others in the grand final. There's a special performance by the cast of hit West End musical Billy Elliot, and panellists casting judgement over the celebrity dancers include 2009's champion Robert Webb, impressionist Jon Culshaw and comedian Jack Dee.
