现代“职场菜鸟”历夏(何花 饰)作为内测玩家进入新开发游戏，选择挑战“very hard”模式的她阴差阳错地成为专职倒夜壶的宫女，变身彻彻底底的“低配玩家”。由于游戏出现bug无法退出，历夏只能留在宫廷之中，和“猫系”皇帝杨墨(罗一航 饰)意外相遇并与“风流将军”解青书(文苡帆 饰)、“花痴郡主”范如香(安晨芯 饰)展开了一段嬉笑怒骂的温暖奇缘
