في إطار كوميدي عائلي، يتناول المسلسل قصة لطيفة أم جميلة التي تهمل بيتها وواجبات أسرتها، وتتفرغ للذهاب لبيوت جيرانها والتلصص عليهم، حتى تسمع آخر الأخبار وتنقلها بين الجيران وتتسبب في طلاق ابنتها الوحيدة جميلة، ومع مرور الوقت تسير جميلة على نهج أمها حتى تكسر الملل التي أصيبت به عقب الطلاق، ويحاول الجيران صد الأم وابنتها حتى لا تهدما حياتهم.
