Kādu vakaru Lupatiņi jeb četriem auduma bērniņi - Zeķīte, Cimdiņš, Spilventiņš un Lakatiņš - dodas mazgāties. Pa ceļam viņi sabīstas no vannas istabas Briesmoņa, pēc tam iepazīstas ar Ūdentiņu un visbeidzot sacer Kaķim dziesmu par mazgāšanos.
