  • S01E01 China vs India

    India - As the Cold War continues to build and reach its peak, India, once an ally, would turn into an enemy for the state of China. In 1959, Mao Ze Dong launched a personal attack on India’s Prime Minister and raised the issue of Tibet’s independence, a move that ripped the alliance apart. By 1962, continuous border wars turned a former friend into foe, causing tension between the countries to this day.

  • S01E02 China vs USA

    USA - The Cold War was a state of heightened political and military tension between the East and the West after World War II. A third party would only see to complicate things further and that’s exactly what happened as China enters the fray. In this episode, we unearth Mao Ze Dong’s cold war strategies which would ultimately reveal personal stories from the ground - the eyewitness accounts of the men and women who fought on the front line of Mao’s Cold War.

  • S01E03 China vs the Soviet Union

    Soviet Union - In this episode, we take a closer look into Mao Ze Dong’s Cold War with the Soviet Union through eyewitnesses and personal recounts from the ground. Frustrated by an unequal relationship, Mao decides to stand his ground and take actions in order to reach his ambitious goal to put China on the world stage. However, by doing so, Mao risks creating a riff that might lead to an open war against the volatile Soviet Union.
