Kaede is an elementary school teacher who loves mysteries. After the death of her parents, it was her grandfather, a former elementary school principal, who raised her and shared with her the joys of mystery stories. However, now at 71, Kaede's grandfather suffers from dementia and sees strange things with no basis once in a while. One day, after noticing how her grandfather lights up and takes on the challenge of solving mysteries whenever they are brought up, Kaede decides to bring daily mysteries and minor incidents to him.
