East Riddlesden Hall

The Most Haunted Team investigate East Riddlesden Hall located in West Yorkshire. The Hall has been standing since the 1640's. A small part of the main house was declared unsafe and it was demolished about a century ago before the rest of the building ended up in Natural Trust's hands in 1934. The big lake outside has seen three drownings, one of a Victorian boy who's ghost has been seen looking sorrowful in the hall. During the 14th century the master returned to the house unexpectantly to find his wife in bed with another man; the master was so enraged that he locked his wife in her bedroom untill she starved to death. Nor the man she was with escape, he was bricked up behind a wall. Her ghost has been seen, and her groans and footsteps have also been heard. Other ghostly footsteps are heard, bed covers are mussed, and a cradle is rocked by unseen hands in the chamber, as well as furniture being moved. Children are heard and seen playing in the barn, and a dark figure like shadow is known to grab people there. The gray lady is seen outside, where she tragically lost her life in a horse riding accident, a coachman has also been seen outside and soldiers, the little boy named Edward Johnson Horner has been seen near the lake playing who tragically drowned there in 1880, he was only 5.
