Gibbs a jeho tým se pokoušejí dopadnout Kerseyho a zabránit mu v útoku. Bohužel ani prohlídka jeho domu, ani výpověď jeho přítelkyně nové informace nepřinesou. Ziva se začíná chovat divně po té, co se jí nepodaří sehnat lístky do opery, a DiNozzo chce mermomocí přijít na to, co za tím je.

Gibbs continues to work with Captain Wescott while he retraces his steps in order to help the NCIS team track down a terrorist. With Thanksgiving on the horizon, Abby’s enthusiasm for the NCIS family dinner is building, and Tony’s curiosity is peaking when he learns Ziva is making special plans for the opera.

NCIS:n tutkijat selvittävät Afganistanissa taistelleen sotilaan väkivaltaista kuolemaa New Yorkissa. Tapauksen takaa paljastuu kuitenkin myös yhteyksiä afgaanikapinallisiin ja terrorismiin.

Victime du syndrome de stress post-traumatique, Wescott est proche du point de rupture et Gibbs perd peu à peu prise avec lui. Malheureusement l'horloge continue de tourner : Randall Kersey reste toujours introuvable et aucune piste sérieuse ne permet d'avancer sur l'attentat en préparation. Encore fragmentaires, les souvenirs de Wescott permettent néanmoins de remonter jusqu'à une mystérieuse jeune femme à qui Kersey aurait remis un document. Cette dernière est peut-être le seul espoir de mettre la main sur le terroriste et d'entraîner Wescott sur le chemin de la guérison...

Após descobrir que um dos suspeitos está ligado a um grupo terrorista baseado no Afeganistão, a equipe do NCIS continua procurando novas pistas, enquanto Gibbs trabalha com um capitão da Marinha que sofre de TEPT, a fim de ajudá-los a localizar e impedir um ataque terrorista potencialmente devastador, mas acaba descobrindo que o suspeito tem um parceiro. Enquanto isso, o Dia de Ação de Graças se aproxima, e o entusiasmo de Abby pelo jantar da equipe aumenta e Tony fica curioso ao saber que Ziva está fazendo planos especiais.
