The story takes place in Turin, which, with its old-time atmospheres, the sumptuous baroque buildings, the cafés, the grand boulevards and the squares, lends itself well to the background of this compelling relational thriller in which Laura, teacher at a high school in Turin, agrees to go out for a date with Andrea, an esteemed surgeon and father of one of his students. The evening proceeds in the best way, but the next day, while Andrea hopes to see her again, Laura denounces him for rape.

Laura, enseignante appréciée dans un lycée de Turin, accepte de sortir avec Andréa, père de l'un de ses élèves. La soirée se déroule merveilleusement bien et les deux passent la nuit ensemble. Mais le lendemain, Laura indique à sa soeur qu'elle a été violée cette nuit-là. Andréa nie farouchement. La police enquête alors pour savoir lequel des deux ment...

La vicenda si svolge a Torino che, con le sue atmosfere d’altri tempi, i sontuosi edifici barocchi, le caffetterie, i grandi viali e le piazze, ben si presta a fare da sfondo a questo avvincente thriller relazionale in cui Laura, professoressa presso un liceo torinese, accetta di uscire per un appuntamento con Andrea, stimato chirurgo nonché padre di uno dei suoi studenti. La serata procede nel migliore dei modi, ma il giorno successivo, mentre Andrea spera di rivederla, Laura lo denuncia per stupro.
