一膳飯屋の娘、以乃（いの）。武家の妻、志花（しか）。小間物屋の女主人、蝶（ちょう）。若い頃は「馬喰町の猪鹿蝶」と呼ばれブイブイ言わせた江戸の三人娘も三十路過ぎ。今ではそれぞれに人に言えない事情と鬱屈（うっくつ）を抱えていた。突如、仕事も家庭も放り出し、抜け詣りに繰り出した。抜け詣りとは、いきなり姿をくらまして伊勢詣りに行ってしまう当世の流行。こんなはずじゃなかった女三人がそれぞれに抱える悩みは、いずれも現代の私たちに通じるもの。そんな等身大の三人が次第に輝いて見える痛快女子旅。
