Richard is paired with Christopher Sylvester, a retired antiques dealer whose stone Victorian cottage is overrun with collectibles and bric-a-brac. Linda also recruits germaphobe Michele Murray, who sets off to help Richard Pugh: he hasn't cleaned his flat since he moved in four years ago. And Linda and her cleaning gang head to Leatherhead to help The Pitstop, a drop-in centre for the vulnerable and the homeless.

In this edition, 27-year-old OCD sufferer Hayley heads to Plumstead to help library assistant Shereen, who last cleaned her flat a year ago. And 44-year-old estate agent Penny heads to the two-bed home of Paul and Elaine from Surrey. Paul is a self-confessed shopaholic who collects Star Trek memorabilia in the belief it will be his kids' inheritance, but Elaine is worried their home is turning into a death trap with so much clutter.

Also waging a war on dirt is Sarah, who became obsessed with cleanliness after having her first baby. She travels to Coventry to help brothers Andy and Mikk, but is shocked to find an untidy living room and a wall being used as a dartboard on her arrival.

Gemma meets Jim, a father of two from Kent, whose love of car boot fairs has left him with a hoard of over10 tonnes of things, including a lot of women's clothing - collected because of Jim's other hobby, cross dressing. The second volunteer is Angie, from Hampshire, who mops the floor of her three bedroom bungalow in Hampshire, on her knees, twice a day. Angie meets widower Brian at his house in Kent, which is also an owl sanctuary and home to 37 owls. Brian's traditional view of cleaning being 'woman's work' is set to be challenged by Angie, if she can overcome her bird phobia first.

  • S03E03 Caren & Linda and Jamie & Mick

    Caren, from Warrington, cleans for at least four hours a day and her cat is only allowed outside on a lead. Caren meets Linda and her son Matt, who have being living amongst grime for nine years and have out-of-date food from the 1990s. The second volunteer is OCD-diagnosed Jamie, from Somerset, who can't stand any form of clutter, uses so much bleach it burns his eyes and must check the door 16 times before he leaves home. Jamie meets Mick, from North London, who lives in a one bed flat filled with clutter and grime. But getting Mick to let go of his precious belongings is not going to be straightforward.

Now, as John grows older, he's starting to think about passing the house on to his son, Elliot, but he worries that his son won't want the burden. With Elliot due to return on a visit, John wants to breathe new life into his family home and throw a grand ceilidh. To help John get The Guynd up to scratch, two obsessive compulsive cleaners are moving in for five days.

  • S08E02 Brithdir Hall

    The cleaners are heading to the Welsh hills and Brithdir Hall, a 16th-century, Grade II-listed mansion. It is home to Jeremy, 55, his son Thomas, 15, and Clayton the spaniel. When he inherited it from his grandmother 12 years ago, Brithdir Hall was immaculate. Nowadays, the house is all but derelict, with mushrooms growing through the walls, a yard full of dog poo and a loo which hasn't been cleaned in years. Juggling three businesses just to keep the roof from leaking any more than it already is, Jeremy says housekeeping comes a long way down his to-do list. His main concern is running pheasant shoots from home, but he needs to up his game in order to attract higher paying clients. He plans to re-launch his shooting business with a grand lunch at the end of the week, but getting the house ready in time is too big a job for him alone. To help bring this plan to fruition, two obsessive compulsive cleaners are moving in for five days.
