「お前、タヌキにならねーか？」 人々の前にふらっと現れる謎の青年・こがね丸。 彼の正体は山の住人を増やすため、 人間をタヌキに変えようとスカウトして回る「化けタヌキ」だった。 こがね丸をはじめとするタヌキたちとの交流が、 いつの間にか、こわばった心を少しずつ解きほぐしてくれる。 これは、頑張ることに疲れてしまった人々が、 タヌキたちとの出会いを通じて自分を見つめ直していく物語。
