Down the Amazon

Sailing down the River Amazon from the Peruvian Andes to Manaus in Brazil. The crew of the Maira, a traditional wooden boat, introduces us to the river and its inhabitants, the Caboclo Indians. Every year, during the rainy season, the Amazon overflows and takes possession of the forest. Life must then become organized.

En partant des sommets de la chaîne des Andes, ce reportage nous emmène le long du fleuve Amazone, de sa source à son embouchure. Le long de son cours, à bord du Maïra, un bateau traditionnel en bois, on rencontre de nombreux animaux et des panoramas à couper le souffle.
