遠い未来。都市部で高密度に発展した科学技術に取り残された郊外の山村「鏡見村」。「良い子にしていないと、そっくりさんがやって くる」。古い言い伝えの残るこの村に住む中学生、日暮 紅（ひぐれ あかね）は、1年ぶりに退院した姉 日暮 翠（ひぐれ すい）との再会を 心待ちにしていた。しかし、姉の退院から間もなく、紅のもとに1本の電話がかかってくる。 「その家にいるのは、お姉ちゃんじゃない」
