Strange energies or spirits can attach themselves to a building for a number of reasons, and paranormal activity can occur when you least expect it. In the 1960s, the Defiance County Historical Society acquired land near the Auglaize River for them to attempt a unique historical preservation project. This land became the Auglaize Village. One by one, historic buildings were moved to the village from their original location to save them from demolition. The Auglaize Village would serve as an outdoor museum for visitors to come and see the structures and take a look back through history.
