Hugo has ordered Riri to work in the royal garden, even though Melody wants him to go with her to a fiesta. Suddenly, the castle trembles as a herd of bulls stampedes into the royal garden. They feast on the grass and flowers, and the fountain with the king’s statue also takes a few knocks. But the dragon likes these four-legged intruders. It turns out they belong to the great bullfighter Benito Finito. To make amends for the damage he’s caused, Hugo asks him to add one nice dragon to his herd. A confrontation ensues, pitting the dragon against Benito, who’s equipped with a fire-proof cape. Hugo’s confident that he’ll soon be saying adios to his old nemesis, but he’s forgotten that this dragon is hard to beat…
Hugo specializes in coming up with nasty schemes, but this time he’s outdone himself. He designs a huge mechanical monster capable of swallowing up the dragon. Merlin builds a prototype which wreaks havoc in the castle and comes perilously close to flattening Riri, Melody and Harry. Armed with picks and shovels, they’re busy poring over a mysterious map in search of buried treasure… with which they hope to impress the king. But each of them wants to be the first to find the treasure, and as they work feverishly, the castle becomes riddled with holes. Meanwhile, Hugo’s mechanical monster looks like it may just succeed in obliterating the dragon…
As his latest ploy to get rid of the dragon, Hugo has engaged the noble Sir Vega, whose skills with a sword are as impressive as his solemn commitment to protect widows, orphans and even pesky flies against cruel attackers. While the kids try to convince Sir Vega that the dragon is a poor defenceless creature, Hugo does everything in his power to prove that HE’S the defenceless one, and the dragon is the cruel attacker! But to win over Sir Vega, the king is going to have to be awfully clever…
Hugo wants to be like other famous people and have a flower named after him. He orders Merlin to create a huge red rose named the “Sublime Hugo”. But the dragon has hay fever, and scorches every plant he sees. So Hugo is counting on Franklin Stein to get rid of the big reptile. How? By creating an irresistible lady dragon with whom the dragon will fall in love, get married, and move away. Sure enough, Stein creates a lady dragon… but is she really the perfect mate?
To get the perfect tan, King Hugo will need a good sun lotion that also works against dragon-flames. Merlin whips up a lotion… but it needs some improvements. Sir Jeckyl arrives in the kingdom. He’s a gentle knight, but he has an illness that transforms him occasionally into the monstrous fire-breathing Sir Hyde. He can’t go out and defeat the dragon because his illness has left him bedridden. On the other hand, he seems to have infected Juju, who, when things get hot, transforms into Juju-Hyde. Hugo concludes that Juju may be the ideal dragon-exterminator he’s been looking for.
The dragon’s snoring is keeping Hugo awake at night but relief may soon be at hand. Master Wam Bam, a martial arts expert, has arrived and is offering to use his nunchaku to defeat the dragon – provided that someone catches the battle on video tape so that Wam Bam can prove his worth to the principal of the school where he teaches. Can Riri, Melody and Merlin stop Wam Bam before he kung fu’s the dragon out of the kingdom?
