Bea and Judy search for Doreen. Bea tells Lizzie to keep an eye on Lori. Lori claims she isn't at all frightened and that Doreen is too stupid to know what to do with a knife. Lizzie sits her down and tells her to shut up. Doreen saunters into the rec room. When Bea and Judy ask her about the knife, Doreen says she moved it. As Lori goes back to her cell Doreen has a naughty smirk that convinces Bea and Judy that she's up to something. When Bea forces Judy to tell the women about Lori's true identity, a shocked Doreen quickly confesses that she has set up a little "surprise"...Meanwhile, Lori is at the door of her cell having spotted a rope tied to something above the door. Vera catches her creeping into the cell and decides to investigate. Vera pushes the cell door open and a bucket of soap powder dumps on her head. In a rage, she hauls Lori off to solitary. Doreen tries to explain, but the powder-drenched Vera is in no mood to listen. An agitated Judy yells at the laughing women that they have to get Lori out of trouble. Vera throws Lori into solitary and asks if she's a perverted lesbian like her mother...or didn't she know. Lori puts a good face on it and says that she did. Vera smirks, says it takes one to know one, and slams the door shut. She then goes to Judy's cell and lets her know that she's told Lori about her. The next morning, Vera, still in a fury, is typing out her report when Jim asks if Michelle has left for trial. Vera says she has and throws in some snide remaks about his concern in the matter. Doreen explains the matter to Erica, who agrees that Doreen should take Lori's place in solitary. Erica also insists that Doreen apologize to Vera. Doreen reluctantly does so and Vera, after some sharp prodding from Erica, reluctantly accepts it. Lori is touched when Doreen arrives to take her place. Lizzie asks Erica for permision to visit Sid, who has moved back into his house. Erica agrees to arrange it. Judy expresses her fears to Bea that Lori may reject her after finding out about her. Judy goes to her cell and finds Lori there. Lori doesn't mind her mother's sexual orientation, but doesn't understand how she came about. Judy explains that immigrated to Australia after a school teacher she was having an affair with committed suicide. She then met a nice man and got pregnant. Evidently the man wasn't that nice, because he left Judy when he found out. Some short while after having Lori, Judy met a woman called Angela and came to terms with her lesbianism. She didn't, however, think it was the proper enviroment for Lori and gave her up for adoption. Mother and daughter embrace among much sobbing. Michelle returns from court having not gotten to trial that day. She tells JIm that gives him one more night to find her witness. Jim says he has to work late. The next day, Colleen comes to collect Lizzie and take her to Sid's. Coleen warns Lizzie that Sid is much changed after his stroke and that she should be prepared. On their way out they encounter Michelle on her way to court again. Jim wishes Michelle luck. She swishes her hair at him and walks out. Colleen tells Jim that out of all the women who come in protesting their innocence - she believes Michelle. Lizzie arrives at Sid's and finds him partially paralysed. She smiles bravely. At Michelle's trial, the Inspector testifies that the robbery was committed by someone who entered with a key, shut off the alarm and knew the safe combination. They know the time of the theft because the clock, which was wired to the alarm, stopped at 6:27PM. Of all the suspects, Michelle is the only one who does not have a proper alibi for that time. Henry leaves the court to go and get Amelia himself, but she is not at home. When Bea finds out that it is Lori's 21st birthday the next week, she plans a party. Lizzie fixes Sid some lunch and tries to get him to agree to Meals On Wheels. Meg tells Lori that she intends to give a good report, but that Lori must make a good impression on the judge. Lori says that now that she knows who she is she is ready to get out. Michelle's boss testifies that she was fired because of constant absences due to her running and that, upon being fired, Michelle threatened to get even. Michelle sees Henry return without a witness. Jim decides to go for a run on his lunch break. Meg comments on the pitiful condition of his running shoes. Jim says they're his lucky shoes. Colleen comes to take Lizzie back to Wentworth, but allows the two a chance to say good-bye in private. When Lori tells the women that she may be out before her birthday, they advise her not to count her chickens before they're hatched. Besides, Bea decides if Lori is released they'll simply move the party up and make it a fancy dress so that everyone will enjoy it. Michelle takes the stand. She insists she was running between 6 and 7 and that she doesn't know why no one recalls seeing her or why the police can't locate her witness. In the judge's advice to the jury, he doesn't seem too impressed by Miss Parks. Michelle looks frantic...
