Season 1

  • S01E01 Protest Pedigree

    • September 8, 2016

Before we can show you the making of our album "Volition", we felt it necessary to show you where we came from. While it's an embarrassing trip down memory lane for us, we hope it's an informative preamble for you!

  • S01E02 Record Revival

    • September 8, 2016

This episode takes a look into why Protest The Hero decided to crowdfund their 4th album and the results from that decision. The band was unsure if anyone still cared about their music. The response from this campaign rejuvenated their spirits and taught them never to take their listeners for granted.

  • S01E03 Offset Origins

    • September 8, 2016

This episode is all about drums. We lost our friend and bandmate Moe when he decided to head back to school. So we reached out to Chris Adler to see if he would be interested in drumming on our new album. Shockingly, he was thrilled so we flew him up and got down to business. You will see how that process went down, what problems we ran into and most importantly, the beer we like to drink while recording. Enjoy!

  • S01E04 Tedious Territory

    • September 8, 2016

Watch us curse, sweat, and gouge out our eyes as we attempt to record the mountain that was "Volition". This episode documents the recording of guitars, bass, and vocals for the album. It also features our cherished 'top Indie GoGo contributors' who paid to be a part of the actual recording process. Recording technical music ain't easy, but we got it done somehow!

  • S01E05 Endearing Exit

    • September 8, 2016

When a life-long friend and bandmate decides they need to pursue other interests, you can't help but feel sad. At the same time though, you can't help but feel incredibly lucky for the time you spent travelling the world together - bettering yourselves as musicians and human beings. In this episode, we elaborate on what Arif's graceful departure meant for the band - both historically and moving forward. Live long and prosper brother!

  • S01E06 Signifigant Stages

    • September 8, 2016

What better way to end the Volition album cycle than with a hometown show at the historical Danforth Music Hall in downtown Toronto? In this final episode of the series, we show you where the album cycle took us, and many of the beautiful faces we met along the way. There is a tear in the eye when this time rolls around for each of our albums, but we can't help but appreciate that the end of one album cycle is the beginning of something new...and better. Onward we go! Thanks so much for coming with us...
