The Money Plague

Quincy und Sam sollen ein Skelett untersuchen, dass im Pine Ridge Nationalpark entdeckt wurde. Tatsächlich gelingt es den beiden, die Identität festzustellen: Der Tote entpuppt sich als Flugzeugentführer, der vor einigen Jahren 500.000 Dollar erpresste, indem er eine mit Milzbrandbakterien geladene Waffe auf seine Geiseln richtete. Währenddesssen findet das FBI im Park auch einen Teil der Beute. Doch die Banknoten sind mit den gefährlichen Milzbranderregern übersät.

‘R.W. Collins', a famous hijacker who escaped by parachuting out of a plane with his money five years ago is found dead, hanging from a tree in the National Park he bailed out over. He died before he hit the ground and has been hanging there, undiscovered, for 5 years now. Quincy and Sam are sent to the scene to see if they can find out whom the man really was. When they reach the park they find that things are a lot worse than they could have imagined, the anthrax particles he used to hijack the plane were released when the body was found and are spreading throughout the area infecting people who come into contact with it.

Ron Sparks, guardiano di un parco nazionale, rinviene lo scheletro di un uomo scomparso sei anni prima con 500 mila dollari. Sparks, dopo aver toccato il denaro, muore. L'uomo potrebbe essere stato contagiato da germi di antrace. Richard Haber dell'F.B.I. e Quincy, si uniscono alle ricerche delle autorità locali per trovare il resto del denaro e il complice del morto. E' una lotta contro il tempo: bisogna evitare il diffondersi di una epidemia mortale.
