In der Möbelfabrik von Ted Locke kommt es zu einem tragischen Unfall. Marco Salazano, einer der Angestellten, verursacht versehentlich einen Brand in der Polierwerkstatt. Ehe Marco sich in Sicherheit bringen kann, kommt es zu einer Explosion und der junge Mann stirbt in den Flammen. Das Branddezernat nimmt die Ermittlungen auf. Schließlich wird Ted Locke von Bundesstaatsanwalt Phillip St. Johns wegen Brandstiftung angeklagt. Dabei geht es St. Johns nicht wirklich um den Brand, er führt einen verbitterten Feldzug gegen Locke und will ihn um jeden Preis hinter Gitter bringen. Ted ist der Sohn eines mächtigen Mafiabosses. Sein richtiger Name ist Anthony Vincent Lo Casale. Schon vor Jahren ließ er jedoch seine Vergangenheit hinter sich und änderte nicht nur den Namen sondern auch sein Leben. St. Johns will dies nicht wahrhaben, unermüdlich sucht er nach Möglichkeiten gegen Locke vorzugehen. Quincy steht seinem Freund Ted zur Seite. Er ist von Lockes Unschuld überzeugt. (Text: SuperRTL)
After his furniture warehouse is burnt down Ted Locke, a friend of Quincy's finds he is suspected of arson and murder. A lack of evidence makes the DA reluctant to press charges though. Enter Federal Prosecutor Philip St.John, he suggests avoiding a normal court trial and charges Locke with mail fraud, based on his claims for payment from his insurance company, which allows him to bring him before a Federal Grand Jury. When the ‘trial' starts Quincy discovers that there a literally no rules in a grand jury and the defendant can have no representation to help in defending himself. Quincy decides that he is not going to stand for this and tries to help his friend out.
Ted Locke, il proprietario di un magazzino distrutto da un incendio, viene accusato di dolo e omicidio dal Procuratore Distrettuale, Phillip St John, poiché appartenente a una famiglia mafiosa.
