I remember reading an article not so long ago about how video games need to write better protagonists, how they shouldn't be so sociopathic. Doesn't sound like such a bad thing actually, might make them more relatable.
People pay a lot of money for comedy lessons which implies that some have to learn what a punchline is. The best jokes have weird setups and come from nowhere. Just like diarrhea.
Fairly certain that this is the longest countdown I've made since I started doing them every week. What can I say, controversies are complicated. I miss talking about memes.
A wise man once said that "you're only as good as your last success". Probably says a lot for video games. Says more for the videos I produce on YouTube though. Don't let last week's April Fools video be the first video of mine you watch.
Not meant as a personal attack against anyone. I think contentious topics like these are perfectly manageable if you approach them from a reasonable perspective. Probably a good way of enjoying some of these games. Just don't be a dick.
It was a lot easier to find instances of cliffhangers going unresolved than it was to find examples of people writing their video game properly. Maybe we give more exposure to negative things. Maybe we're all vultures.
I want to make a game where the only enemies are really weak but levels are filled with power-ups acting like stage hazards that sap your strength. Would probably feel fairer that way. Need to learn the coding now.
