Once Alex realizes that Carlos will not be able to continue his boxing career, he drops out of school and steps into the ring to prove himself as a professional boxer and to help support the family. Suspecting that Jamie was responsible for Carlos' injuries, Victoria hopes to coerce a confession from Jaime and meets him on a bridge. He discovers her scheme and disrespects her. After she flees, Ruben emerges from the shadows and throws Jaime off the bridge.

Alex realizza che il fratello Carlos, dopo la sparatoria, non potrà tornare alla boxe tanto presto. Così, per aiutare la sua famiglia, decide di abbandonare temporaneamente gli studi per dedicarsi al pugilato a tempo pieno e da professionista. Victoria sospetta che Jaime sia il responsabile del ferimento di Carlos. Così decide di incontrarlo al ponte. Ma ben presto Jaime scopre che la ragazza sta cercando di ottenere una confessione e tenta di avere un rapporto sessuale con lei. Ma Victoria riesce a sottrarsi dalla sua stretta e a fuggire. Ruben, che ha visto tutto, spinge Jaime oltre il ponte e lo uccide. Alex vince il suo primo match da professionista.
