In King Harbour geht Angst um, weil ein offenbar wahnsinniger Serienkiller schon mehrere Menschen getötet hat. Es handelt sich bei den Opfern ausschließlich um junge Frauen, die kurz vor der Eheschließung standen. Von unerwarteter Seite erhalten die "Drei von der Riptide" einen wichtigen Hinweis: Der Verkäufer Robert Edwards verdächtigt seine Untermieterin, die Morde begangen zu haben. Und tatsächlich machen die Detektive in der Wohnung der Frau eine furchtbare Entdeckung ...
