Rick & Minmei learn they have landed in a closed-off and forgotten section of the SDF-1. Try as they may, they can find no way out, and no one aboard the ship has any idea where they are! Time passes slowly and cruelly for the imprisoned pair, as what started out to be a fun adventure, turns into a deadly nightmare of hunger and exhaustion, driving them to the edge of hysteria.
Rick et Minmay sont enfermé dans une partie abandonnée du SDF et recherchent une sortie dans ce véritable labyrinthe. Pendant ce temps, les habitants de Macross sont rapatriés dans la forteresse et s'aménagent un ville.
Rick y Minmei tratan de sobrevivir en el interior del espacio desconocido del SDF-1 donde aterrizaron-choque, pero con el tiempo se tropezaron y rescatados por los equipos de construcción asignados para reconstruir la ciudad Macross dentro de la nave.
在SDF-1进行折叠时，瑞克的小飞机正在船体外，被折叠的气流所卷，他们陷进了堡垒底舱一个无人区。飞机上的通讯坏了，他们无法向外界求助。福克很快认定他的小朋友已经失踪，但此时他被分派执行70,000难民的收容工作，因而无暇寻找。两个年轻人只能依靠自己的力量来寻找出路。
瑞克和明美四处探察，想找到出路回到堡垒中心区。但堡垒之大超过他们想象，他们后来只能仅仅寻找食物以维持生计。本来瑞克想穿着飞行服飘到上面去求救，但为了抓一条太空中的金枪鱼补充食物，他的飞行服被挤破了，两人只能等待别人的救援。
在被困的日子里，两人谈到了各自的爱好和理想。交谈中，瑞克发现明美不仅美丽而且迷人，原本对明美仅是出于责任，渐渐地变成了朦胧的爱情。
他们被困了许多天，几乎就要放弃希望了。正在此时，堡垒内部重建麦克罗斯市的工程所偶然引发的一场事故，却意外地使他们重见天日。
