Not only is this 1970 production considered one of the seminal moments in the creation of Canada's film industry, but SCTV's version, Garth And Gord And Fiona And Alice, is considered one of the best parodies in Canadian comedy history. Directed by Don Shebib, this film is the story of two hard-luck Maritimers who, like many before them, head west to "Hogtown" (Toronto) in search of work, women, and a new life.
