東京のデザイン会社で書籍のデザイナーをしている建石大地 は、趣味の読書に傾倒するあまり、現実の恋愛にはあまり関心がない。ある日、取引先である丸藤出版の担当者が変更になり、大地は大学時代の同級生である一倉康介 と再会する。康介は丸藤出版で編集者をしていたのだった。海中の写真集という新企画が始まり、仕事を通して大地と康介の距離は急速に縮まっていく。しかし康介との距離が近くなればなるほど、大地は大学時代の思い出に胸を締め付けられる……。康介は大地にとって、人生で唯一の「忘れたい」相手だった。
