Prince Adam is summoned to Castle Grayskull by The Sorceress, who sends him on an urgent mission to the world of Etheria. She gives him a sword which looks exactly like his except that it has a jewel in the center, and she tells him he must find the owner, whose identity she cannot reveal. Accompanied by Cringer, Adam goes to Etheria, where he meets Bow, a rebel archer who is part of the Great Rebellion, who are aiming to overthrow the planet's dictatorial rulers, the Horde. Adam soons finds himself caught up in a conflict between the Rebellion and the Horde, and transforms to He-Man. He is attacked by the Horde's ruthless force captain, Adora, but is shocked when the sword glows in her presence. Can she really be the owner of the sword, when she is serving evil?
Le prince Adam est convoqué au Château des Ombres par la Sorcière, qui l'envoie en mission urgente sur le monde d'Etheria. Elle lui donne une épée identique à la sienne, à l'exception d'un joyau en son centre, et lui demande de retrouver son propriétaire, dont elle ne peut révéler l'identité. Accompagné de Cringer, Adam se rend sur Etheria, où il rencontre Flèche d'Or, un archer rebelle membre de la Grande Rébellion, qui cherche à renverser la Horde, la dictature qui règne sur la planète. Adam se retrouve bientôt pris dans un conflit entre la Rébellion et la Horde, et se transforme en Musclor. Il est attaqué par Adora, l'impitoyable capitaine de la Horde, mais est choqué lorsque l'épée brille en sa présence. Peut-elle vraiment en être la propriétaire, alors qu'elle sert le mal ?
